Excursion
Date
An excursion to visit sightseeing spots in Kyoto is planned on Wed, Sep. 10.
The excursion buses will depart from the bus stop at 13:00pm. Please check the campus map for the location of the bus stop.
Courses
There are three courses for the excursion.
Please answer the questionnaire at the reception desk about which course you would like to take. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
The details of each course are as follows.

Tour 1: the classical tour for people visiting Kyoto for the first time:
Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji, 金閣寺) , Silver Pavilion (Ginkakuji, 銀閣寺), and Kiyomizudera (清水寺), one of Kyoto's most famous temples in the Eastern mountains overlooking a traditional quarter of the city. -
Tour 2: a tour of Mount Hiei (Hieizan, 比叡山),
the mountain overlooking Kyoto on the Northeastern side:
Enryakuji (延暦寺), the main temple on the mountain, and Former Chikurinin (旧竹林院), a temple with garden on the other side of the mountain in Otsu on Lake Biwa. -
Tour 3: famous temples Southeast of Kyoto:
Samboin (三宝院), a subtemple of Daigoji (醍醐寺) with a beautiful garden, and Byodoin(平等院), the most famous relic of the Heian period (about 1000 years ago); this temple figures on the 10 yen coin, and its phoenix statue is on the 10,000 yen bill.
Regardless of which course you choose, the bus will arrive at the banquet venue at around 17:40pm.
Participation Fee
The participation fee for the excursion is already included in the registration fee.
Notes
There will be no conference sessions in the afternoon on Sep. 10, the day the excursion takes place.
Since the excursion starts at 13:00, the lunch break on that day will be shorter than usual.
If you are participating in the excursion, please be sure to arrive at the bus stop by 13:00 without delay.
